Check the returns policies with the places you're selling. This can make it or break it for me. It costs a lot of money to properly pack & ship an instrument (so that it doesn't get damaged in transit).

Avoid Ebay. Their policies have made it very difficult to sell personal instruments.

Craigslist- you takes your chances.
