Had all my Perc kids’ assignments ready to go and my poor student was nervously waiting to play until they realized they weren’t going to play at all.

UIL should have had the music blacked out or something to indicate that those parts weren’t needed. Not to mention the students who were probably scanning the entire piece fingering along only to be unnecessarily practicing something they weren’t going to be playing. The cut where you stop also sounds “unfinished” …I could go on but won’t.

Definitely one giant “gotcha” trap for students.
