The "real world"? It doesn't get more real than teaching.

Nothing wrong with leaving the profession, but please find better terminology. This is along the lines of the old adage, "Those who can't do..." Please leave this thinking in the past. I enjoy what I do and think it prepares students for life. I've certainly contemplated leaving the profession, but not because what I do isn't real.
