Spend time working on what it means to be a musician. Work on decision making in music: where to make dynamic contrasts, how to find phrases. All the things that we typically tell them to do, but don't show them how to do. Do this in music that is not what you have been playing everyday. Read lots of new music. Play a concert of just marches. There is so much more to band than just the three tunes. Let your kids enjoy making music. Best wishes
