Ask the many voters in the HISD area how that worked for them. Multiple people from that district have been arrested and jailed and some of them at the federal level for bribery and kickbacks. While the schools failed folks got rich. But sure, just show up and vote while the board members get in physical fights during the meetings. Too easy of an answer without an actual solution.... And we've already established that these folks wanted their failing schools to stay open so what change were they going to vote for? Meanwhile, kids are lost and failed by those that should have been protecting them.
