I serve as a Music Ed field supervisor at several universities, and through the years I have been assigned student teachers who are percussionists, who are interested in becoming band directors, rather than percussion coordinators.

I would like to build a stronger base of information for these student teachers, including the names of some percussionists who are/were successful band directors.

I would also welcome any additional advice/insights regarding student preparation and guidance along this road.
