On the area and state 6A level, it seems as if it is just like the STAAR test - a better indicator of socioeconomic status than anything else.

And it seems like it is just a microcosm of the world at large.

BUT - that doesn't mean there isn't value in what we do even when it can't compete on that level with those folks.

I know not everyone is religious, but I am reminded of the parable where Jesus was calling out those who donated a lot in a public way. He asked his disciples who gave more: (amounts changed to represent now) The rich man donating $5000 or the poor widow on social secuity who donated $120.

Give your kids quality music education withou sound fundamentals and a heart for who they are. That is what will matter most several decades down the line.
