You don’t have to play the whole thing, but sections or a good chunk of it is worth doing. Just tell the audience what you are doing and they won’t know the difference. The ending, at the very least, is something they’d love to rehearse and play. Get some kids playing solos that haven’t done it. Pull out the English Horn and let your oboe player try it out.
