I took no "pot shots" and I actually complimented his group. I have my reasons for not providing my real name, none of those is so that I can be a jerk on the internet.
I only know Mr. Lipman by reputation and I have no reason to believe that he is malicious or, in any way, acting under false pretenses. I just think it's a little short sighted to ignore all of the resources available to that program.
