This may seem bizarre. What chime notes do you need? If only 2 notes (for instance) -- might you know someone who could "lend" you those notes = buy a hammer, build a little stand - DONG ... Of course some folks might not want to lend their favorite Bb chime. So, question - what notes do you need? What part of Tejas you be in? The dampening might be a problem.
