As I get closer to retirement, I can also look back with regret at times I've neglected my family because the band "needed" me.
I've learned not to care what other directors think of me. The ones who know me well enough know I give my all while at work.
Make time for yourself and your family. When all is said and done, they will be the ones who matter.
