Then, treat choreography like you would drill:
March it, play it, March it and play it.
It would be smart to teach the choreography at the beginning of rehearsal after basics but before drill. If the choreography has different counts for everyone, then kids learn it in the dot they are going to perform it in. If everyone does the same thing, then learn it in your fundamentals block. Once they have it, time to move on to learning the drill leading up to that spot.
Then, as you get to that drill set, apply your March it, play it, March it and play it technique: only itís more like dance it, play it, dance it and play it. It wonít be perfect but the earlier you learn it the more effective itíll be later in the season.
