Just mind your own business and run YOUR show and YOUR concert program. If Plaza de Toros is best for you this year, PLAY IT. If you want to play a Holst Suite, DO IT.

I think the lack of attention to “older” music comes from the fact that it’s markedly more difficult and densely scored than a lot of newer stuff. But if my job is on the line to make a 1, I’m picking the Big and Easy version 100% of the time.
