Also, make sure you are always prepared for rehearsals. If something comes up during rehearsal, and you're not sure how to fix it, don't be afraid to say "I don't know...but I'll find out for tomorrow" as opposed to trying to BS an answer. The kids will forgive an occasional "IDK", but if you try to BS an answer, or use "IDK" as a crutch for every little thing, then they will recognize that you don't have a clue...then you're up the creek. With that said, if you say, "I'll have the fix tomorrow", you better follow through. Otherwise the kids will see that your word can't be counted on.
