What could you possibly need by July 4th that could not still be provided in a timely manner? Just curious.

And in general, many arrangers and drill writers are already working themselves to the bone (yes, maybe take less clients), but also, do you expect them to not take some kind of time off for family and friends? I know some of the hardest working people on the planet who feel guilty taking just one week off for time with family between the months of May-October…and I mean the most well organized and responsible people you could imagine.

Moral of the story? Don’t assume all designers are shirking responsibilities by taking time off to recharge. They are probably thinking about and stressing over your production 10x as much as you are while you take the summer mostly off.
