So it's okay for some folks to live in those conditions but not you? I mean, I get that as I choose where I live based on where I don't have to lock my car doors at night but this opens up a whole can of worms to discuss and maybe we should be doing things to make those neighborhoods safer for everyone instead of ignoring the danger and driving around it instead of through it. But that would make for a very uncomfortable discussion on how to do that.

As for you not knowing those families that live in those environments, maybe teach in the neighborhood and then you might see how much EVERY child deserves access to a quality education and a safe school.
