I knew I was going to to stir a steaming pot of frustration from young and old directors alike with my post. Sometimes I enjoy heated dialogues and sit back with my popcorn and watch the feathers fly. We all "pay our dues" and do the best we can with whatever pay we get. That's life. And we stay in the profession not for the financial rewards but for a host of other reasons. Thank God for band directors. They are the salt of the earth!
