Texas is a very big state with an equally large degree of variety in cost of living and resultantly, salary.

Most of the salary posts here on the good ole YB haven't really referenced location (I assume to preserve the relative anonymity of the board).

I think that many of the recent posts, when viewed through that lens, make a little more sense.
