I am appalled by directors right out of college complaining about starting pay of less than 60K. In ancient history when I was finishing my senior year a professor joked about taking vows of poverty in teaching. In 1973 I earned $6850.00 for my first year. My yearly salary didn't exceed $50K until 1991. I know the comments to follow will be "Loooooser" but after 42 years and 4 Honor Bands my best Salary was only $58K. Young folks please don't complain about your paycheck. Pay your dues and earn that fat paycheck!
