If someone is interested in your program and interviews for the position, please follow up when the process is done to thank them. I did just that and asked if they had heard anything from the district yet. I was surprised to hear that the answer was no. I think many of us, myself included, assume the hiring managers will follow up with them.

While those conversations could potentially be difficult, each candidate was grateful to have heard from me directly. Personally, I was very thankful to have had them involved in the process.
