How about they are just professionally honest? I am with OP on this one. I have had mostly good experiences at TSSEC but I have had a handful of terrible experiences with judges who just do not belong judging any musical performances.

I don't know how to do it any better, and I applaud UIL for putting on this great contest. Unfortunately with this many judges at once, some are bound to be duds.
