Who said they're being treated disrespectfully? Just because you were doesn't mean anyone else is.


Here we go again..."living wage". That is an arbitrary, and intellectually lazy response.


"Paying dues" means not sitting on your hind quarters and expecting the "Big Time" 6A programs to call you first, and BEG you to come work for them fresh out of school without putting in any effort on your part.

"Paying dues" means not complaining that "there aren't any jobs" when you only filled out three applications, and restricted your search parameters to a very narrow range without a legitimate reason for doing so.

"Paying Dues" means knowing that you don't know it all, and realize that you are going to learn more in your first 5 years in the band hall than you ever did in college...and you're going to learn it through that head director that hired you.

Here's the reality that you have chosen to ignore:

Just because you are butthurt doesn't mean you are being, or were treated like garbage...rather real life smacked your ego between the eyes.

Stop with the coddling...you are condoning delusions of grandeur.
