I think I’m getting more than 8% raise this year. Retention is a complicated issue. Been teaching 20+ years and considered my options this year. Some things changed n my district, and now I’m excited about next year.

Love the kids. Sometimes the adults are a challenge. Money was not really a factor in my looking or staying; that being said I don’t think it would have been too difficult to find a new career that would come close to what I’m currently making.
