Nobody is giving 10% raises and everyone is taking a pay cut due to inflation across every single industry in the country. Even as you see business raise prices they aren't increasing profits. They are just hanging on like everyone else, (especially the building industry, restaurant industry, and raw material folks).

All anyone can really hope for is a big enough raise to cut into the loss. You want to see an unhappy community give all the district staff a 10% raise while all the community folks not working for the school get no raises AND see their medical costs go up. Oof. That would not end well for some board members and superintendents.
