Tons of GREAT and fun music goes largely unheard by modern audiences until someone dusts it off and performs it.

Beguine for Band comes to mind. Until I heard the Dallas Winds do it, it was largely forgotten. Then I saw it pop up a bunch of times in a row in community band concerts.
