If the title of the piece is, "The Capitan & Tenile's Greatest Hits"....TOSS IT! That hasn't been played since Carter was president...for a reason. I don't want to come across as anti-"pop" music, but one has to remember that "pop" music has a limited lifespan, and is maybe played one time before being relegated to the back of the filing cabinet. Sure, you could save a couple of them for sight-reading practice, but be selective about which ones you keep. I can remember in high school that we did a piece for SR prep called "Dickie's Dream". When we started playing it, it sounded tonality-wise like it came from the mid-50s. Sure enough, copyright 1956. I think we got about a third of the way through it and started laughing because it was such a hokey piece.
