For the first time in 24 years, I had a student (non-band kid) physically assault me. I won't go into the details, but it goes with out saying I will be pressing charges and she was hauled out in cuffs. Yes, you read that right - SHE! A 7th grade girl thought it was smart to punch a 49 year old man in the face. The admin has my back, but I asking if I should contact TCTA. I don't blame the school but I want to cover my bases since this is going to eventually be a legal matter. What would you do? Like I said, 24 years and have never had this issue.
