School isn't a business. We don't make widgets. We educate children.

But if your analogy were apt, it's the superintendent who is the CEO, and a band director is nothing more than a shift manager who thinks they have more power than they do.

Stop assigning more importance to ourselves than we've earned. We aren't more special than anyone else on campus. An English department chair can't "set the direction" for their department either.
