Is this a freshman in HS? If not how many credits did they already have? If they didn't want to do band there are plenty of other options out there and I have a hard time believing admin would just wave the rules for an individual without some justification regardless of how rich they are.

And as the other poster said, there may be other things, (IEP), driving the decision if in fact they subbed Econ, (which I believe is a required class depending on your certifications), is it not?
