As I understand things, varsity Full Orchestras and varsity Full Choirs can get the A trophy. Every other varsity string or choral group get the B trophies. I could be wrong, though.

"1" awards are plaques for a HS varsity group, "2" awards are smaller plaques for everyone else.

"C" trophies are MS varsity 2 event sweepstakes while they are also for HS non-varsity 2 event sweepstakes (NOTE there are maybe 2 MS bands that still march, but a MS 3 event sweepstakes gets the B trophy, and is supposed to get the C trophy for the 1 in marching).
