Del Rio HS in Del Rio, TX will have an anticipated assistant band director opening for the Fall of 2022! We are looking for a candidate with a Woodwind Background, DCI and or guard experience is a big plus! However, any and all types of backgrounds will be considered as we are most concerned with finding the best teacher for our program.

Del Rio HS is a 6A band program along the US/Mexico Border, located 150 miles West of San Antonio. The HS band staff consists of 3 Assistant Directors along with the Head Director. In 2022 all 3 Concert Bands received Superior ratings in Concert at UIL Concert and Sight-reading. Two of the Bands received “Sweepstakes” ratings. The Del Rio High School Marching Band is a 7 time Bands of America Regional Finalist as well as a 3 time UIL Area Finalist. In 2020, the band advanced to the UIL State Marching Championship.
