Cedar Ridge had a smaller band and they were still up there - but perhaps they are the exception rather than the norm. 5A schools had more variety in their band sizes. Rouse and Highland Park had as many kids on the field as some bands had woodwinds and were still very "successful" competitively.
Excellence is still excellence when it boils down to it. It may be a bit harder, but I am thankful for schools like those mentioned above that give us hope that it can be done!
