Re: Literally about to submit a resignation letter
I've been on the brink since I've been at my current school (this is year four). Moved to Texas to teach here and was not given the whole picture of how bad the situation was. Failing school academically, kids that don't hesitate to punch the principal in the main hallway, FA Director who lied about promoting me up when a position came open (I believe 5 have opened since I was originally told, also principal and FA Director regularly lie about one another, contradict one another, and pass blame to one another.
I love the profession more than anything and could never see myself leaving, however, here every day seems like something new and I'm at the point where I legitimately hate coming to work every day.
The scary part is the year I moved here, I multiple offers in large suburbs, but for some reason chose this one, but each year, I seem to get fewer interviews. I'm worried that the longer I stick around here, the less likely I am to get out.
