Re: Music Suggestions - Christmas / UIL
I concur with this suggestion. Another one that I would float out there would be the Hal Leonard publication that goes with the EE2000 books called "Christmas Favorites". It is a red book with green trim. The pieces are written ranging from using only the first five notes learned, through middle school, to high school for the last couple. The songs are usually written for 1 clarinet, 1 trumpet, Low Brass/WW on a unison part with tuba down the octave.
There is a second book available called "Holiday Favorites", and is a green book with red trim. This one you really have to know your kids considering your instrumentation as this book picks up from the first book to where at the back of the book you're looking at multiple clarinet & trumpet parts, and independent low bass parts.
