But the rest of it? Not so much. There is a clear expectation of using teachers like a Giving Tree until only a stump is left. Texas directors in particular are so used to giving hours upon hours of time without being properly compensated that it is nuts! Administrators who ask for more and more and they tell you "it's covered in the stipend" wthout ever considering how much is in there are a huge problem.
I was aways fortunate that no matter where I worked, I always had the best kids on campus with seriously awesome parents.
But the job is a lot more than that.
