I left the classroom in mid-June. I am starting a job next month that will be part "coordinator" and part training person. I interpret this as "making sure people have done their homework" and "leading training"
I am making ever so slightly less than I did teaching, but my position is remote (no office) so I will make a lot of that back in vehicle maintenance/gas. I have my first office with a window and I no longer have to get someone to cover for me if I have to go to the bathroom. I no longer have to take a half-day or more off for a simple dr appointment - my new job flexes time so as long as I get 40 hours in, we're good.
