I have seen first hand as a long term sub last spring a program that makes communication simple and effective. The band used the “band app” and that is all they used. No emails or any other platform was used to give out information. When students ask a question, the head director simply said “check the band app”. If a parent sent a question in an email he would respond “please check the band app for your answer”. If the answer wasn’t on the app he would verbally answer or email and then put that answer on the band app. I loved knowing as an assistant that ALL the info I needed was in one place.
You might counter back with “some people just don’t sign up”. Well, those people aren’t going to read or comprehend any other form of communication. They will simply ignore those as well. So……why waste time on 10 different platforms.
Last point, do you really want families in the program that refuse to communicate. Just some thoughts.
