There is a worker shortage in nearly every restaurant. I went to a place outside of Houston a month ago and only half the restaurant was open. They had a sign up that apologized for only using half their tables but they only had 1/2 their staff and they appreciated your patience.
I tipped extra that day because the waitress worked her tail off and I appreciated her being there!
Having not been at TBA but just out and about I can see that TMEA could be a total cluster if the service industry doesn't get back to 100% workforce quickly.
