In January I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. The doctor prescribed some medication, and made it clear that it could take 3-4 months before any change could show up. Fast forward to June, and I had a big flare up of the psoriasis, which made the arthritis part worse. Doctor decided to change medication, which I will start on Wednesday. In addition to the pain, I have been extremely exhausted on a daily basis. During the spring, I was usually feeling good and ready to go in the morning, but by 10:30 I was ready for a nap. My afternoon bands could tell that I was really not in the mood to rehearse. By the time I got home at 4:30-5:00, and walked the dog and sat down to unwind a little bit, I would fall asleep and before I knew it, it was 11:00. Not a big deal during the summer as I wasn't working. At TBA I kept moving as much as I could stand it, resting when I could, and then back at the hotel by 6.
Those of you who have had to deal with this, what home remedies did you use to help the situation, especially in the fall, and before any new medication started to "kick in"?
