Having recently sold a home those dates are not as solid as you think except for the date at which point someone "receives" certain items. Due to the snow this winter our closing was moved twice because additional things were required by the buyer's lender and those items sent in on a Thursday were not processed until a Monday and thus the clock started not when it was received but when it was RECEIVED and something was done with it. Sure, I probably could have walked away from the buyer but when it was contracted within 7 days of listing for more than listed and closed within 7 weeks of listing it wasn't really worth getting in a tizzy. Now, the case of this superintendent is totally worth a tizzy!
