Teaching responsibilities include: assisting with the high school marching & concert band, co-teaching the beginning band & junior high school bands, and teaching 90 minutes of elementary music classes each day. A woodwind or percussion specialist is preferred but all qualified candidates will be considered.
The assistant director will assist with managing the vertical alignment of the overall music program for the district; assist in providing students with opportunities to participate in extracurricular Band activities; ensure compliance with all state University Interscholastic League (UIL) and district requirements; assist with the maintenance and development of individual and ensemble activities to achieve region, area, and state-level recognition.
Louise ISD is located off of Hwy. 59—approximately 44 miles east of Victoria and 51 miles west of Rosenberg. The Louise ISD music department has a very successful concert & marching band program and enjoys tremendous support from the administration and community. The marching band has advanced to the UIL Area E marching contest in 2017 & 2018, and is a 2018 & 2019 USBands National Championship Finalist.
