2. Closed toes causes stress up the back part of your leg and can trend toward locking knees.
3. For those students that are .. heavier .. which will be MOST Of our students this upcoming year, given how many of them have spent most of the last 18 months on the couch, closed toes is actually harder to do.
There's three benefits right there.
To the OP: Do what you want. If you clean it in camp and double check from time to time it should work just fine.
