Re: Taking out the "trash"
We keep our (3c MS) non-Christmas and non-UIL library right at 250. We have a rule that for every new piece we buy, we toss one of equal difficulty. We usually look for the a) oldest piece first and b) least performed piece. For UIL pieces (which includes marches since we don't play them at any other time), we keep it on the list until it is pulled from the PML. Christmas pieces are limited to 100, but follow the same protocols as the main library. It boggles my why directors keep so many pieces when they know they will never play them. Clear them out, gain some useable storage space.
