Your hearing aids are only as good as your hearing exam. You will sit in a soundproof booth and take a hearing exam that might take 30 minutes to an hour. Then that information is downloaded into your hearing aids. The theory is to help your hearing/frequencies where you need it. If you donít test well, you will hate the sound of music, groups, church, etc. With mine I hear some things really well but it is tough to listen to music with them. I hear inside parts only sometimes. I can go without my hearing aids and listen to recorded music through my Bose headphones and that sounds great.
My next set of aids I will ask them to just give me a flat response/boost at all frequencies so music sounds right and normal, just louder.
If the company you choose doesnít spend some quality time with the hearing test, find a different company.
