I'm in a situation with multiple assistants where we are all fed up with some of the ways the HD does things - not just minor differing opinions.
Almost never coming to other campuses while assistants go to multiple campuses every day, taking extra long lunches, sometimes not even coming back to school after lunch - all while micro managing us in the way we teach all of our classes. Some of us as assistants have to do all of our planning/business work after school since we're doing classes all day, but they get to just do it during the school day instead of helping out at other campuses, and of course able to go home as soon as the bell rings.
There's A LOT more I could get into, but it's a little too specific, and I don't want anyone to know who they are and don't want them to see that I'm writing this! Just trust that it's screwed up and I'm not just a whiny assistant.
Whats the best way to bring these things up? I feel like we should let them know how unhappy their assistants are, and that they need to understand we can't put up with it much longer. I have a tendency to just bottle things up, but my mental health cannot take much more - I feel I deserve a job where I can be happy, and this job and location has so many good things going for it, except for the way things are structured by the HD.
