Re: Small School Band Help
In my first year I started in a down & out rural program. It wasn't a rebuilding program as much as a jump-start program. Zero budget, crappy instruments, and prescious few kids to start. I shared my love for music and tried to make the learning fun setting individual and group goals. The numbers grew from the bottom and soon the beginning classes were so large administration decided to make beginning band manintory. The growth continued throughout the program and more kids made it possible for a bigger budget. As they say, success breeds success.
