People with a masters get a stipend because of their added training and specialty. They don't necessarily work more hours.
I think we get pressured by some administrators who just use that as a catch all phrase to justify unreasonable requests on our time.
We actually need to stand up for our advanced training that no one else on campus can accomplish.
Teachers in general get abused by the system more than most professions that require this much training and education. Altruism is great but we also deserve respect and to be fairly compensated and treated like college educated professionals.
