Re: National Board Certification
With the addition of the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) more schools especially low SES or rural are going to start giving a portion of that money to teachers with their national board certification. Every school district is different, but 90% of the funds from the state have to go to teacher salaries somehow. My school is going to give everyone with it a 6,000 bonus, and refund the cost of the certification once completed....so for me it's totally worth it. It will vary by school districts, but I think the national board certification will become more relevant (especially in the schools that will get more TIA money). Just my two cents...
