Our system is broken, but that's a whole different issue. "You can facilitate a test, but they cannot direct a band." I believe that was precisely the point. There are countless other teachers on campus that can facilitate a test, but rehearsal doesn't get to happen if the directors are gone. I don't know about you, but I personally don't like to miss any rehearsals with my kiddos.
