It's been getting discussed in my district now for about six or seven years, but so far hasn't begun. You're going to see it happening more and more though I'd guess due to the fact it can be offered as a high school credit, and better yet for districts is incentivized with CTE funding.

It's becoming more common. I would expect how much it affects you honestly will depend on your Ag instructors and how much your community supports it. If it had happened seven years ago with the Ag teacher then I think I would have seen a big drop of numbers. As it is I don't honestly know how much it would hurt us just due to not as many kids being interested - and not really having a set of instructors that are amazingly charismatic and beloved.

You get someone who is, or a community that shuts down for a week of stock show each year, you may be in more trouble.
